Privacy Policy

Camera Access

CameraGR requires access to your device's camera to function. Camera access is used exclusively to display the live viewfinder, capture photos and apply film simulations in real time via AVFoundation on iOS.

No image data, preview frames or captured photos are ever transmitted outside of your device. The camera is only active while the app is open and in the foreground.

GPS & Location Data

CameraGR requests location permission solely to allow the optional embedding of GPS coordinates in photo EXIF metadata. This is disabled by default.

By default, the app removes all GPS and location data from every captured image. Location data is only embedded if you explicitly enable it in Settings — and even then, it is written only to the local EXIF metadata of the photo file. It is never sent to any server or shared with any third party.

• GPS embedding is OFF by default — no location data is added to photos unless you turn it on.
• Location data is read directly from the device sensor and written locally to the image file only.
• No location history, movement tracking or location logs are ever stored by the app.
• Location access is only requested at the moment of capture, not in the background.

Photos & Storage

Photos captured by CameraGR are saved directly to your iPhone's Photo Library. No photos are ever uploaded, shared or transmitted to any external server, cloud service or third party — under any circumstance.

The app reads existing photos from your gallery only when you explicitly interact with them within the app. Read access is never used to scan, index or transmit your photo library.

No Data Collection

CameraGR does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, crash reports or any other form of data about you or your device. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks and no third-party tracking libraries.

• No account registration or sign-in is required or possible.
• No usage analytics or behavioural data is collected.
• No crash reporting or diagnostic data is transmitted.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are accessed.
• No third-party SDKs with data-collection capabilities are included.

No Data Resale

Because we collect no user data, there is nothing to sell, rent, license or share. CameraGR will never resell or monetise any information about its users — now or in the future.

Our business model is a simple one-time app purchase. You pay once; we owe you a great camera app — nothing more and nothing less.

iOS Permissions Summary

The following system permissions may be requested by iOS and their sole purposes are:

• Camera — display the viewfinder and capture photos.
• Microphone — capture audio when recording video.
• Photo Library (Add) — save captured photos to your library.
• Photo Library (Read) — access photos you choose to view within the app.
• Location (When In Use) — optional GPS EXIF tagging, disabled by default.

No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is stated above.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at cameragr.app/privacy with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Given that CameraGR collects no data, meaningful changes to this policy are unlikely.
